Living Legacy
The Pachikari technique used on our pieces is the very same art form employed by Mughal craftsmen to decorate the Taj Mahal's iconic marble walls. Semi-precious stones — lapis lazuli, carnelian, jasper, and malachite — are hand-cut and fitted into marble with no adhesive for the finest work.
Agra's artisans have safeguarded this UNESCO-recognized tradition for over 400 years, passing it down through generations in families of the Purani Mandi and Tajganj quarters.
